The Kaseya Ransomware Attack

Find me on:

As you’ve likely already seen in the news, a major IT services vendor known as Kaseya was compromised by one of the largest ransomware attacks we’ve seen to date.

We do NOT include this Kaseya product in our technology stack.

The compromised Kaseya product is a tool that is typically installed on customer devices to allow for remote management and monitoring. These tools are very common in our space and can be extremely helpful in providing proactive maintenance and support, however they can also pose a threat if not properly secured and managed. We do not use these Kaseya products anywhere in our business, or in our customer’s environments.

GCS takes your security (and ours) very seriously. If you’re concerned about the security of your own environment or have any specific questions or concerns about the tools we use, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We offer security assessments along with a fully managed threat prevention and security monitoring service designed to keep your users, devices, and data out of the news cycles.
